Dr. Theodora Kalonaros-Dietrich was born and raised in New Jersey until she graduated high school. Her father immigrated to the U.S. from Greece and returned there after retiring, so she moved to Athens, Greece in 1977. After completing the highly competitive entrance exams, she studied at the University of Athens School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1982. Dr. Kalonaros-Dietrich returned to the United States to spend a postgraduate year at NYU College of Dentistry in New York City. She met and married Dr. John Dietrich and moved to Florida, where the two opened their own practice in 1985.
Dr. Kalonaros-Dietrich is popular with our patients thanks to her caring, compassionate manner. She has extensive training in cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry, but is highly qualified in general dentistry as well. She enjoys seeing confidence return to patients after getting their new smiles. As with Dr. Dietrich, she has also taken the DOCS course to provide comfortable care through oral sedation.
Dr. Kalonaros-Dietrich has served on the Health Advisory Board for the Charlotte County Public Schools and has been a Sunday school and Greek language teacher in her church for many years. She is a member of the Charlotte County Dental Society, the Florida West Coast District Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
